delay in CEC responding to remote

Rasp Pi 2 w/ 0.5.1 on samsung F8500 (also 5300 LED - same issue).

I use the samsung remote to control rasplex and it works great, except for one issue. When I turn on the TV it will return to rasplex (HDMI 2), just as I left it when I turned off the TV prior (I keep the raspberry on 24/7). However, it will take up to 8 seconds for rasplex/TV to respond to inputs on the samsung remote. I have experimented using different HDMI ports, as well as rasplex settings to never suspend/sleep, even when I turn off the tv. The problem remains. If I cycle through the HDMI sources and return to HDMI 2 (rasplex), then rasplex will respond to the CEC remote inputs instantly.

Is there anyway to correct this delay? Or, is this just the nature of how samsung uses CEC for third-party devices?

anyone?

Yep this is true of my 2012 Samsung TV as well. When turning on the TV It can take up to 10 seconds between the picture appearing and a button press having any impact. Happens with both Rasplex on the pi, Rasplex on a pi2 and also the pulse8 HDMI-CEC adapter so I'm pretty sure it's just how HDMI-CEC is implemented on Samsung TVs. I've not found any Samsung TV settings that can improve the wait, but it's not too bad.
