Deleted Library by mistake... now can't re-add any of those files

I had my music library on hard drive plugged into a MacMini, but it was having wifi issues, so I deleted that library from the Plex webapp. Then moved over the hard drive to a RaspberryPi and created a new library using that source.

The trouble is, only new files I add to the RaspberryPi Hard drive are picked up by Plex - but anything that was in the deleted library won’t get added. That is the majority of my albums.

I have tried the Plex Dance, tried moving folders, renaming folders, tags etc… Nothing works.

I tried deleting Plex from the MacMini & doing a completely fresh Raspberry Pi install and still have the same issue. I am at a complete loss!

The important part of the plex dance is the making sure you get the entire sequence.

With the section deleted, do the Dance.

  • Scan Files
  • Empty Trash
  • Clean Bundles

If you still can’t add it back, I recommend this tool to confirm everything is cleaned out of the DBs
