i bought dell server PowerEdge T30
Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1225 v5 @ 3.30GHz
Intel® HD Graphics P530
8 GB Memory
Windows 10 64
i think i need to upgrade the ram to 16 GB but what i need more
this server for 1080 movies and tv shows for my family and friends
do i need use nvidia or amd gpu or the buildin is good

The 8 GB RAM should be alright.
The CPU is not very power-efficient

If you only have H.264 and no H.265/HEVC videos then this should be alright.
I wouldn’t expect wonders from the hardware transcoder. The chip is quite old and these older implementations did have picture quality issues.
