Server: 1.22.2.4282 (Ubuntu 20.04)
In the never ending quest to drive users to the ‘Library’ tab instead of the ‘Recommended’ tab so they realize how much content I actually have, and how to browse it in alphabetical order, I went in and unchecked all the options under each library. The only thing I care about on the home screen is ‘Continue watching’ anyways, which from what I have read should be there no matter what, so I figured win-win:

This has the following side effects on the following clients (that I don’t think are on purpose):
Plex Web 4.54.5 and Plex for Windows 1.30.1.2115-81e1fc3f
The home screen is now empty, and has the ‘Something went wrong - there was an error loading your home screen, etc.’ message. This should still have the ‘Continue Watching’ list (I have items in ‘Continue Watching’ for several libraries currently).
FireTV 8.15.0.23855
The home screen only has ‘Continue Watching’ which is the correct behavior, but selecting any library that was not already switched to Library view AND did not have anything listed for ‘Continue Watching’ shows up as having no content, and there is no way to switch from Recommended to Library view (since it thinks the library is empty). The workaround for this currently is to turn on some recommended option on at the server so that the library shows up with content in the client, then switch it to library mode, then turn the recommended option back off.
Only other client I have is iOS and that seems to have the desired behavior.
All of this is to try and steer the user to the right place… I have people I have shared my library with months ago who still are not aware that there is anything beyond ‘Movies & Shows on Plex’ and think that is actually the content I shared with them…
Nice touch
