It would be nice to have Plex automatically use an updated external certificate file when it changes.
Currently Plex needs to be restarted after the certificate has been updated.

This is particularly useful when the certificate is from Let’s encrypt and thus changes every 60-90 days.
Make a Cron Job/Scheduled Task, that restarts your PMS every 60 day
Sorry but restarting the whole Plex service is what I’m trying to avoid. That’s what I’m currently doing when in my certificate update script.
Plex is perfectly capable of using a new certificate without restarting when you update the configuration.
Hmmm…Reloading cert. would invalidate ongoing streams anyway, so why not?
