I have a Western Digital My Cloud Ex4100 & even after making sure my firmware on all devices & the server itself is up to date, the intro detection will constantly loop. I have tried reinstalling the firmware & also tried simply rebooting the cloud storage. The only way i can get the detection to stop is by rebooting my storage device & going into the settings & unchecking the intro detection feature. If someone could possibly help me, maybe im missing something.
What do you mean loop? Is it scanning the same show over and over? Please provide your PMS logs.

It will just continue to spin & it stays stuck never completes.
2 things to check
1 - conversion tab to make sure it’s not paused, if you don’t see anything, quickly set up something to sync or optimize so it generated an entry here and you will then see the option
2 - do not have hardware transcoding disabled
ok so i went in & selected something to optimize it originally said pause then I hit resume and now it is converting so far no issues with the converting & the 2nd thing you want me to check when you said do not have Hardware transcoding disabled which setting are you speaking of under transcoder I do have the disabled video stream transcoding checked currently do you want me to uncheck that??
Yes. Turn that off. (unchecked)
ok let me turn that off & restart the conversion.
You don’t need the conversion anymore. That was just so you could change the setting. After changing the transcoder setting, go ahead and “analyze” a season of a show and see if the intro detection finishes for that season.
edit - analyze not refresh
it seem like that got it to unloop itself & its scanning for intros like its suppose too, just to make sure i understand. you want me to refresh the metadata or just reanalyze the series?
Oh sorry. “Analyze”. This will get the intro detection going. This works at the season and episode levels only. You cannot do it by show. If you want to manually do a lot, change the display to show seasons instead of shows, then you can multi-select and then choose to “analyze” all of them at once.
gotcha understand & just so i kmow what to look for but also might anyone else having the same issue what could have been the cause for it to continue to Loop was it that I had disabled video stream transcode??
