also, ‘latest version’ is not a version.
also, providing all your system details is also helpful (cpu/ram/bare metal or virtualized/etc)
You, should look into adding debugging logs. It will help allow the developer team to better assist you.

pretty sure this is a issue with version 1.18.1.1973, cause it was fine before that.
i have asked repeatedly in two threads and in two pm’s for a link to download older versions of pms. please provide the link(s).
I think a big part of your problem may be that what you are aksing is a question that is specific to the Host OS you are using, in this case Kubuntu. Your question is really more about how to work with your operating system and less about something Plex specific.
Would it be safe to assume that you installed Plex as a package using apt-get? If so, all you should need to do is, 1.) Identify which version of the package you wish to roll back to, then 2.) use the apt-get command to install that version of the package. There may be other methods available to you as well, depending on which utilities are installed on your machine and how you have managed package installation in the past.
I suggest having a look at the apt-get man page here. You may also find this thread over at askubuntu particularly helpful.

i really don’t think it’s system specific cause the day before installing 1.18.1.1973 i watched a few shows via the lan on the app for the tv, when i installed 1.18.1.173 i launched pms, updated the libraries, launched the app on the tv and it was working perfectly. i do think it’s a issue with the particular update. as for how i installed, no i use the deb files. here’s the logs if you want to try to make sense of them.Plex Media Server Logs_2019-11-08_15-03-37.zip (2.3 MB)
