Did the plex.tv servers died? [solved]

Server Version#: plexmediaserver_1.13.8.5395-10d48da0d_amd64
Player Version#: what ever the web interface is running…

My plex media server just stop working, with message “Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install.” which is sign that plex.tv servers have some kind of issue.

Anyway I proceed to update mediaserver just in case to lates tversion, signed the server out and trying to claim it again but it doesn’t work… and also its saying that there is newer version of plex media server while there is not… whats is going on, I can’t play single file from server… :-/

You can see in Plex Media Server.log, that it can’t read the API from plex.tv ( there is no issue / change in the internet or firewall on my side )

Out of all of the IPs only last two return ping, forcing server to use only one of these two will eliminate the connection error, but still nothing is working cause of this:

Aaand its solved… changing DNS server to 1.1.1.1 fixed the issue.

Is Plex having DNS issues?

do your ISP DNS was root cause?

yes seems like, also I do remember setting 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 as DNS and after upgrade of Ubuntu serer it changed to some different IP on its own, which was strange…
