I’ve been running my server for years with no issue. I use a static IP and port forwarding. Everything was fine until yesterday when out of nowhere it started giving me a problem. It says I have an “indirect connection” and when I look at the remote access the private and pubic IPs seem fine but there’s an X between Public IP and Internet is faded like it’s not there. I’m at a loss.
Have you verified if your router and the specified public port are accessible from outside your home network (e.g. using a service like canyouseeme.org)?
canyouseeme.org is saying it can not see me. But it was working up until yesterday. The reason says “connection timed out”
There are lots of things about your internet access that are totally outside your control.
Could be your ISP have started filtering / blocking content or ports.
It might be worth verifying if the port forward on your router is still active and working.
Maybe there was some background update messing with your configuration there…
If that’s still ok, your best shot might be reaching out to your ISP.
