Direct Streaming 4K HDR (audio is transcoded) fails

Hi,

I am one of the unfortunate people owning a Sonos Playbar which can not handle DTS. Therefore I have PMS transcode the audio if the source is DTS.

It took me sometime to have PMS transcode the audio and direct stream the video with my LG OLED B7D TV either using the WebOS Plex App or DLNA. This works as long as there’s no HDR content involved. When the source is HDR the first few seconds of video come out ok but then the video is only a pretty imitation of a rainbow consisting mostly of green.

Is there a problem with direct streaming HDR content?

I have this exact same issue. I have a sonos playbar and an LG OLED 4k tv. If i can switch the audio to AC3 and direct play it through my shield TV HDR works fine, but if it has to convert the audio i have the exact same picture issue you mention. Looking for a fix.

I have the same issue. I have been adding AC3 tracks to my 4k HDR remuxes so that it will play. It is very weird because my server is more than capable of transcoding an audio track of all things.
