Directory Structure Setup for multiple folders

I need to add another folder to my movies library. When I setup that folder do I use the same directory structure I have in the first folder?

For example if I have drive F:

/Media
/Movies
movie content
/Music
music content
/TV Shows
television content

do I set up drive G: with the same structure (e.g.)

Media
/Movies
movie content
/Music
music content
/TV Shows
television content

Thanks in advance!

Basically, yes.
However Plex doesn’t depend on folders linked to a movie-type libraries to be named “Movies”.

TLDR: the structure you have posted will work, however you don’t need to name the movies folder “Movies”

Insider tip:
use different folder names for the same media type on every drive.
e.g.

F:
   /MediaF
      /MoviesF

but

G:
   /MediaG
      /MoviesG

Doing so will come in handy if

  • you ever are going to add or exchange storage drives of your server
  • the drive letters in your server have were “swapped” by accident
  • there was a server crash and you want to reconstruct your server from a (hopefully existent) backup
