I’m running into the same issue many other users were in How to disable 'Select User'?. I’m unable to disable “Home Users” which prevents me from using Plex if my internet is down. I’ve tried adding another user to get the red X but pressing the X just puts me back in the same situation. It sounds like something can be done on the backend?
Are you still having issues? I had someone check your account and they said you are not in a Plex Home at the time they looked.
I’m still listed under Home Users as in the image above. The switch user dialog is still there as well. Without a PIN, it looks like I sign right in but not sure how to test if this will work without internet access without my family killing me for shutting off the router.

Settings - Plex Web - “Automatically Sign In”
Tell your web browser to not discard “cookies and website data” of the domain plex.tv when it’s closed.
Or better even, if this is a PC or MAC, use Plex Media Player or Plex for Windows/Mac instead of the Web app.
The full goal here is to disable/leave Plex Home so that my Plex server will work with my ShieldTV client when the internet is down. How do I
- See if I’m still setup with Plex Home
- Disable Plex Home if I am
Your account is currently not in a Home.
So if you put your server’s local IP into the “manual servers” preference of the Shield client, you should be good.
Make sure to not “require” secure connections on your server.
I’ve done those, thanks. Will I always see a Home Users section?
Yes that section will always be there.
Ah right. If you had that disabled before you deleted your Plex Home, that setting is still applied but not shown. You need to reactive Plex Home by adding a user, then you will have that option again. Enable it, then delete Plex Home. You should not see the select user screen any more.
