Help please! Leaving Plex Home (support support article doesn't help)

Hi,

I’m the Plex admin user and I tried to follow this article: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/203888038-How-do-I-leave-a-Plex-Home-
But the “leave home” button do not show up (I only have Add User & Invite mode). I’m the only user. How do I disable Plex home entirely

Thank you

Your ‘Home’ is disabled.

Could you please elaborate what you are trying to achieve?

Thanks for the response, I simply wan’t to use Plex without an internet connection. I use a Mac mini and both the server and clients are on the computer.

Settings - Server - Network - “Secure Connections” <-- DISABLE

Settings - Server - Network - ‘Show Advanced’ - “LAN Networks”
put there the network address of your local network.
e.g. if your private IP adresses begin with 192.168.2.x then put 192.168.2.0/24 into there
(your router/DHCP settings will tell you which ‘address range’ it hands out to your local devices)

Put the same content into the field “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”

Afterwards, restart your Plex server
and after a few minutes all your clients as well.

Then put PMP into its ‘tv fullscreen mode’

then click on the menu item where your user name appears
Settings - Manual Servers
and put your local IP address under Connection 1 IP
you can also try the ‘localhost’ address 127.0.0.1
leave the port number at 32400

You must do as well with other Plex clients, but some of them won’t have the ability to define a ‘manual server connection’. I know however, that the iOS app and the Android app do support this.

Many thanks for the help. I wonder why this isn’t simply an option though? There used to be an easy way to just opt out of Plex Home but now it’s being surreptitiously forced on everybody.

I’ll try your work-around suggestion
