I don’t care what some idiot thinks of a movie I love, which is why it’s in my Plex collection, not theirs.

Here to vote for this too. The RT reviews are basically useless at this point, their standards have really dropped. If they’re paying Plex, I guess it’s whatever, but I would turn them off if I could.
Saw a negative review for one of my faves and looked up the the reviewer. Their taste is brutal, seems to enjoy reality TV mostly, and thinks Thor: Love and Thunder should win an Oscar… haha, I don’t need to see this persons opinions about my own movie collection.

Has plex finally started to get rid of these ? I’m certainly not seeing them for some movies on with server version 1.28.0.5999 and web client 4.87.2 after full metadata refresh.
I just hope its not a bug and they decide to put it back

Ah well… Checked approx 10 movies (recent ones) and all are missing the RT spam so got all excited plex might be purging them. Alas no… Ah well, I’ll live in hope!
I agree, I don’t see them either in 4.87.2.
All this Advertisements are still there.
Don’t think that they wanna get away as long as they can make money with this annoying spam where you even can’t read if you don’t speak english…
Here you can see that not a user friendly experience is in the foreground and you get forced to scroll over if you wanna know if there is a collection, edition or something else.
For sure, its understandable for free users but its a kind of a very poor offer to force this for the user which use plex pass.

Maybe plex is just slower now getting these spam reviews. I could give 30+ movie examples from 2022 missing these reviews, some from the start of '22.
I use Plex HTPC which doesn’t show em.
2022 Movies first need to get rated before they can fetch the reviews. So if the Movie doesn’t has enough ratings and reviews, you wont get it.
Try to add “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” or “Eraser: Reborn” and you will probably get spamed again.
Otherwise it would be interesting which Server you use but it would be surprising if there are wanted differences.
