Server Version#: 1.16.5.1554-1e5ff713d Windows
Player Version#: 4.3.0? 2.2.0? Not even the about menu is clear
So, I’ve been using Plex for years on my PS4 and recently after some player and server updates, my PS4 app is saying that my server es “Unavailable”. Client logged in just fine, but can’t connect to server. Both are in the same LAN. Same PS4 can see Plex serving through DLNA just fine.
No configuration changes were done on the server besides mandatory Windows updates and Plex’ own updates. Tried reinstalling the PS4 app, re-logging and reinstalling the server itself to no avail.
I don’t even know what to look for. Are there any know issues like this?
While I don’t know offhand why a previously running PMS is no longer available, there’s a few articles on the website about “unavailable.” I usually suggest the 1st, 4th and 5th ones, as those cover the basics of getting access using a series of steps that build up your authentication.
Was this ever resolved? I have the same issue but with 3 ps3’s. My other devices can connect to my plex server with no problem but my PS4’s get server unavailable
Unfortunately, I couldn’t fix it. I tried the things in the doc (which I kinda had already done before, otherwise I wouldn’t be here asking) and nothing worked.
To be quite honest, besides this issue I was already getting tired of the constant re-invention of the UI and this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I’m currently using Windows’ 10 default DLNA server and that’s it.
Yeah that’s frustrating you said you were using your PS4 for years with Plex.
Can you screenshot the “Unavailable” it’s giving you, and would you get us both player and server log files in debug mode demonstrating nothing else but a fresh hardware reboot, 10min of peace, and then you demonstrating the issue on that PS4? Redacting personal info is great.
