Do not close feature requests after 90 days

I’m finding a lot of features that I would like to vote on or add to the conversation that are closed and locked.

I’m left with creating new features, which is fine. There is still a problem because users may or may not browse feature requests or run into a problem or limitation in such a limited time frame.

It would be better if the posts were left open and standard moderation handled dups and features were given status.

For example:

Open for Feedback
Under Consideration
Planned
Closed Will Not Implement

Posts in Feature Suggestions do not close after 90 days. They stay open indefinitely. Example: Correctly identify & display Dolby Atmos, dts:X, and dts-HD MA audio tracks in Plex clients

Moderators may close or combine duplicate requests to prevent splitting of votes. When that happens there is a reference link added to the request. Example: Add Library Type "Audio Books"

A post will also be closed if it is implemented. Example: Add Specials/Featurettes Support To Movies

What about this one… all related posts seem to dead end at this one and I can’t vote on it.

That thread is still open.

You double pasted the URL without a space between them. Fix it and it will work.

Weird, maybe it was my finicky track pad on my laptop… I couldn’t vote on it earlier.

Thanks!

If a topic was made in some other category then moved to the feature suggestions category it will retain the settings from the original category and close. It is a quirk of the forum software. If it does this, tell us and we can reopen.
