Doctor Who (1963) not differentiated from Doctor Who (2005)

I am having a problem with Doctor who videos. TheTVdb differentiates between ‘Doctor Who’ (starting 1963, 26 seasons, ended) and ‘Doctor Who (2005)’ (currently 11 seasons), but Plex is not separating these two and so I only have ‘Doctor Who’ listed, with seasons 1-11 episodes being doubled-up. There is no option to Split videos as there is with Movies, so I cannot manually correct this.

I would greatly appreciate any help with this, or if someone has a workaround for this particular case.

This comes up periodically, use the forum search to find how to resolve.

Failing that, post the complete folder structure and file names for each series — hopefully you’re at least including (YEAR) in both series.

Ok, I have searched the forums (I apologize for not having done this first, I was already posting a different question, and went ahead and posted this one), and attempted the offered solution, which was to rename the files. In the screen shots, you can see that I have done this with one episode, Rose. I then Matched Doctor Who in Plex to Doctor Who [1963] and Rescan. The result is the same: while all the 1963 titles show up properly, the 2005 titles are overlapped within the corresponding directories, including the renamed Rose episode.

Okay, I’ll give that a try, but I am uncertain what steps 3 (empty trash) and 4 (clean bundles) mean?

I think it has been replaced by Refresh All Metadata, oops! You’ll find it via Manage Library:

Perhaps different OS? I’m on Windows, and mine looks like darcilicious’ screenshot.
