Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.19.4.2935 x86_64.spk
Player Version#: Web
Hi, I just backed-up my synology NAS to replace the hard disk tomorrow.
I have accidentally deleted the PlexMediaServer-1.19.4.2935 x86_64.spk
and can’t find out how to download older packages.
Can you provide my a link to re-download the spk package.
I tried applying the latest PlexMediaServer-1.19.5.3112-b23ab3896-x86_64.spk download but that has resulted in me getting “playback error” from anything I try to play in the web client.
I plan to use PlexMediaServer-1.19.4.2935 x86_64.spk if I can to re-install when I swap the new disk in to my synology DS218+ tomorrow. I can then restore my plex metadata backup to match that version.
Thanks,
Rob.
Plex doesn’t provide links to older images.
May I have your logs to see what the error is?
I have a good idea based on issues others are seeing.
Hi Chuck.
I tried the iPhone Plex client and noted it worked fine.
I did a crtl+f5 refresh of the chrome web browser and playback in chrome seems fine now.
I have attached Logs from today and yesterday, I hope thy help you improve plex. Thanks for your assistance.
regards,
Rob.

DEBUG makes my job 100x easier.
Now, as for other problem.
you have more media (folders to monitor) than the Linux default (8192)
We can easily increase this but must be mindful of how much on NAS systems with small amounts of main memory.
Below is the Syno FAQ How-To to address this for you. Please follow it carefully and ask any questions before doing.
In your logs, the evidence to this is:

Notice it says “NOTIFY” and “Failed to add watch”.
This is the evidence we needed.
FAQ 16: Increase the number of folders Plex can monitor
Applicable to all supported versions of DSM.
When the Linux ‘inotify’ table fills up, this will cause when Plex to stop automatically detecting new media you add to the server. It will also manifest when there are transcoder problems with Dolby audio codecs.
Linux has a default table size which is static. We can increase this at will.
On some versions it’s 8192. On newer kernels, the default is 65536 folders.
This is easy to in…
