I have a brand new laptop and am trying to sync(download) content.
I can successfully do that on my older Surface and my mobile devices but the new laptop(I don’t see download anywhere).
It’s in the same place as the Sync icon in regular Plex Web.
When I use Plex Web I see the download button but my new laptop is not in the list. My old Surface, My Phones are on the list but not the new laptop. The laptop is in the authorized list of devices.
This is the plex media player on windows 10 for me. Yes I have the plex pass and I’m logged in.
Does the laptop have a narrower screen or is the font size scaled up? Try under the ellipsis (the 3 dots arranged vertically).
Are you using a different Plex user account on the laptop? It might simply not have the right to do downloads.
That is the right app, which has the ‘Downloads’ feature.
And downloads does not show up for me. Any idea why?

Yes: The laptop has the font scaled but if I put it to 100% vs 200% I still do not see the download button.
I’m logged into my account that I’m logged into on multiple devices.
If I click on the 3 dots all I see is (Play Next, Add to queue, Get Info)
If I log in via the web interface I do see the download button but it says you can download to some of my other devices not my new windows10 laptop.
I can download/sync right to my phone with the same account.
And you are trying to download stuff from your own server, and not from a server that is merely ‘shared’ with you?
it is not “my” server it is my brothers server who also has plex pass lifetime.
Hm, I can see the download icon on shared libaries.
Try to re-authenticate the app. Sign out from your account (only the app, not the server!) restart the app and sign back in.
Make sure, you have internet connectivity during this.
Ok, I logged out and i disabled a bunch of devices(web browsers)
I see this on the side with nothing in downloads(expected)
I’m seeing this when I select something that is downloadable on my other devices.
I do have McAfee LiveSafe running but have disabled the firewall to test that as well.
I haven’t talked to him today but my other devices work fine. Just this one has a problem.

Plex for Windows is not shown as a web browser. So that’s not really relevant.
Unclear: is this screen shot from the ‘Plex for Windows’ app or from the web app “on your other devices”?
They are all screen shots from the Dell, I’m just saying there is a Download available on the left hand side.
You mean there is no Download available?
Because I don’t see anything like that in the screen shot.
There is a “Downloads” tab on the left right under “TV Shows” it doesn’t do anything other than say… there is nothing downloaded

Yes, this is the place where those downloads are supposed to appear. Which means you have the right app installed.
Do you have any other Windows computer (preferably without anything with “McAfee” in the name installed) where you could try the same app?
