Downloads re-download podcasts and artists

I’m trying to use new Downloads with Podcasts and Music Artists. Both are exhibiting similar behavior.

Downloads will complete successfully as seen by both the Items view and library content. However, Downloads periodically (measured in minutes) has the spinning down arrow and re-downloads the same content. It’s losing existing downloads because when I look at the Downloads Library view my previously downloaded content is gone. Same for an Artist I downloaded with around 1100 songs.

I was using this on vacation and it seemed to delete the items if the network was slow and could not return within a timeout. I would go to the Music library and it took a long time to load the list. Once the list was loaded the Downloads would start downloading all of the items again.

Why are existing downloads being removed? These are within a matter of minutes or an hour or two of being successfully downloaded.

This is happening with TV shows too. All of these are set to download unplayed 3 or 5 episodes. Most were set to remove items on next refresh. I’ve changed that to after a day and so far nothing has been removed. Perhaps the on next refresh isn’t working properly.
