DSM 7 - Plex listing issues

Hi there,

I’m having problem since I’ve updated DSM to 7th version,

The main issue is that Plex is not showing all the files in the folders, and all the files have the same permissions,

Can you please help me?

Would you mind sharing some more details about your files (e.g. organization, naming) and for what library type you’re experiencing this?

Sure,

My shared folder has the following structure:

\volume1\Downloads\Films
\volume1\Downloads\Tvshows under this path I’ve one folder for each tv show, and two folders appear and 3 of them not.

I’ve gave the correct permissions to the plex system user.

Can you show a specific example of the naming/organization of those tv-shows down to the episode files?

Here you have an example, as you can see the only tvshow that appear is Games of thrones and Mandalorian

And in mandalorian ony appeared 8 episodes, the rest of season 2 didnt appear

Here you have season 1 permissions (the one that appear in plex)

And season 2 permissions

And about the other tvshows same thing..

You should review your file naming / folder organization.
Especially when it comes to the season folder – don’t use localized naming or a mix of show name, season number and other information.

Example

Wrong

Series
  Mandalorian
    The Mandalorian tomporada 1 complete...
      ...

Right

Series
  The Mandalorian
    Season 01

Similarly, don’t have multiple season 2 folders – just 1!!

Plex will also prefer the episode files to use s01e01 schema instead of 1x01– but for all I’ve seen the 1x01 style season/episode naming should be working.

After renaming those season folders, you might need to perform the so called Plex Dance to make Plex forget it already incorrectly identified those episodes (or ignored them).
