Sometimes i run into the problem that my plex server will see a show but then i have 4 seasons and only 3 show up. or i have 7 seasons and only 3 show up. i can plex dance all i want but it just won’t show up. i searched through the forums and the 2 things that are most mentioned are naming and permissions. but i think i have both things as they should be.
i have a Synology 916+ where i run my server on. i run DSM 7. i checked all of the permissions and for as far as i can see they are all correct. I also read about a trick that when i go to manage, edit, and try to add folders to my server and i go to the missing season folder and i can see the folder that im missing i know that plex can also see the folder. this is the case.
to go more into the permissions and what i did: i went to shared folders, the series folder, edit, permissions, internal users and then the plexmediaserver user. it has read / write permissions including all of the subfolders. i also went in the synology file station to the folders plex cant see and checked their permissions and also check a folder plex can see and compared everything but as far as i can see everything is the same.
my naming is also good. i always name the first folder the show name and then for every season a folder named Season #. the shows are named for instance: S02E02 - the last stand of just S03E04.
how can i fix this and what could be causing this.

i fixed the problem i think: i changed the names of soms shows and plex always matches new shows for some reason to alarm for cobra 11. but when you change more than 1 show and plex matches them all to alrm for cobra 11 then everything becomes a mess. so the seasons were missing because they were already matched with a different show. is this a bug or can i fix this within my plex???
