Duplicate EPG Channel

Server Version#: 1.25.0.5282
Player Version#: 4.66.1
Tuner Make/Model: WinTV-HVR-22XX
Guide/Lineup name: Local Broadcast Listings (235 channels)
Using XMLTV?:
Channel number/Name: 42.1 / CBS

I am having trouble adding CBS from local over the air channels listing. I am located in the central Texas area. Two channels show up for 42.1:

  • 42.1 The Family Channel (KAXXLD)
  • 42.1 Columbia Broadcasting System (KEYEDT)

I cannot select CBS. The option can only be The Family Channel.

I cannot find a way to modify this. I can watch CBS by selecting the family channel. It is a little difficult to record though because I have to schedule shows from the family channel.

Is there a way to manually fix this? I just ran into some issues trying to record the channel today.

Columbia Broadcasting System is CBS. If you select that epg channel you should be set. My problem is I’m getting the same 2 options but it won’t let me select the one I want.

My solution was to switch to MythTV and use a Vero 4K+ as the frontend. What is interesting, is it also found the Family channel using the lineup from SchedulesDirect which caused the channel to fail. Unlike Plex, I was able to exclude that channel using SchedulesDirect. Now it works.

Running 1.25.2.5319 on Windows.
Plex Web 4.43.4

I see the same problem with several channels when adding new devices (all HDHomeRun).
For channel 5.3, it lists 3 options, but only allows me to select “5.3 Bein Sports Xtra (KRDHLD3)”, which is incorrect for my area.
For existing devices added with older versions of Plex, I see the same problem if I try to change the mapping, but if I leave it alone the correct mapping (5.3 Grit KOAADT3) will stay selected.

I don’t see this on a Synology DSM 7 running same version of Plex.

With some more poking around, I found a couple post reporting same problem and this one which seems to have the most traction: Bug in Channel Matching
