Server Version#: 1.25.1.5286
Player Version#:
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomerun DUAL
Guide/Lineup name: Boulder CO
Using XMLTV?:
Channel number/Name: 6.1 PBS
In my area, there are two PBS 6.1 signals in the channel matching window. PLEX defaults to the first signal, and when I try to change it to the other signal, it ignores my selection. I can select any other signal that I want, but when there are two 7.1 signals, it again won’t let me select the second signal. The old channel match dialog didn’t have this problem. Please fix!
This has been reported and is currently with the Plex Media Server development team to address. See this post which refers to duplicates issues that are being addressed in Plex Media Server and Plex Web EPG issues since the new update to Plex server. Channel Matching not matching the guide - #149 by sa2000
This appears to be different from the two issues that I mentioned that are already being addressed
In this case - the tuner is giving two channels with the same number ? 7.1 ? I am not sure how we would be able to tune to the right channel when communicating with the tuner.
Could you provide me with debug server logs covering the time when the DVR is setup and channel matching occurs. I would like to see what requests we would be sending the tuner to list the channels - so that you can do that manually and let me see what the response contains
Also - is this OTA through Antenna ? Is it DVB-T / DVB-T2 ? What is the DVR make and model ? Networked or PCI / USB ?
Also let me have country / zip code / and the lineup/guide name selected
Just realized you already provided DVR and Region information !
Sorry for any confusion, there is only one issue, I was just trying to give two examples.
As you can see in the picture, there are two 6.1 signals, K24HQD, and KRMADT. The K24 signal is weaker than the KRMA signal, so I don’t want to use it. Just for grins, I scrolled down in the list and randomly selected other signals instead of these. I was able to select other signals, until I go to channel 7.1, which actually has 3 signals. Once again, it would let me select the first of the signals, but neither of the next two.
Exactly the same annoying problem in my EPG-Region.
The issue relating there being two 6.1 channel entries in the Lineup (the right hand side drop-down list in channel matching) has been reported and I expect a fix to be released in the near future
This relates to the list of channels on the left hand in the channel matching dialogue box. The left hand side is the list of channels from the DVR Tuner. I have not investigated any issues with duplicate channel numbers from the tuner side - my investigation has been in how we deal with duplicates in the lineup (right hand side drop-down)
If there is a problem with selection of the channels on the left hand side list (the tuner list of channels) then I need to investigate that and to start an investigation, I need the dbug server logs covering the DVR Setup and attempting to match the right channel 7.1
Also could you enable browser dev console logging (via F12) and get the network logging har file - please select “Preserve Log” option and after attempting to select the 7.1 channel in the left side - click on the captured network logging and right click and save all to a .har file
Please send me this by Private Message as there would be security tokens logged
Together with the debug server logs zip and screenshot and indication of what time this was done
For the HD Homerun Dual - we can get list of channels through a url that is returned in the response to this request
http://ip-of-hdhomerun-dual/discover.json
When you send this request in a browser with the IP address of the HD Homerun Dual, there should be a “LineupURL” http request there - extract that http request and put it in browser and then copy the response you get into a text file and include with the zipped har file and server logs and screenshot
Thanks
There is no problem with the left hand side. There is just the one issue with the right hand side, I was just describing playing around with the right hand side, seeing if I could get any of the right hand duplicates to work. I will wait for the update. Thank you!
OK thanks
The issue with 6.1 is understood and will get fixed
I will ignore your references to 7.1
This is the exact same issue I’m having but for me it’s only happening in the first few channels. It’s only happening with channels 2.1, 2.3 and 2.4 everything else seems to be fine and allows me to select the second signal in that specific channel group.
Following this thread for a future fix.
If it helps:

My Thread with details
Just got Plex pass and I’m running into the same issue. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
I am also experiencing this issue on latest. I have multiple EPG sources, and for instances where they are identical channels (say, channel 3), it is changing my selection to the ‘first’ channel 3. This is a recent bug, and wasn’t an issue when I was last playing with the DVR a few months ago.
Still no fixed?
Any News? @sa2000
I am also having this issue with Plex DVR setup only allowing the first selection when there are multiple listings for a channel. Any ETA for the fix?
EDIT: I rolled my docker container back to linuxserver/plex:1.24.5 and this issue went away.
Ok running unraid here with a Hauppauge PCIe quadHD tuner. Was working great ! nwollenb can I ask where I can get a copy of that plex:1.24.5 docker ?
Here is the docker page. Go to the tags page to find the one you want.

Thank you much !
Any updates from the Plex team?
Think it’s the same bug they are discussing here: EPG issues since the new update to Plex server. Channel Matching not matching the guide - #175 by bluesnake_eglenet_de
I expect the fix for handling lineups with multiple entries for the same channel number (vcn / lcn) to be released in Plex Web version 4.75 which will initially get released as the hosted app through https://app.plex.tv/desktop
The fix for handling lineups with multiple entries for the same channel EPG source data has already been released in Plex Media Server beta 1.25.5
