Duplicate servers when I login to app.plex.tv

Server Version#: Version 1.18.1.1973
Player Version#: Version 4.8.3
Long story short, upgraded from server 2012 to 2016 tried to import registry settings that dorked up remote access. Cleared everything out and reinstalled. Now when I open http://server:32400/web/index.html# I see my server as expected, when I login via https://app.plex.tv/desktop I see my server name but it cannot be contacted. The real difference is when I click on my server from there the 2 URLs have different media numbers:

from my server
http://server:32400/web/index.html#!/media/123456789/com.plexapp.plugins.library?key=%2Fhubs&pageType=hub

From plex.tv
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/media/987654321/com.plexapp.plugins.library?key=%2Fhubs&pageType=hub

I believe the media number from plex.tv is from the old 2012 server and people are having a hard time seeing me remotely. How do I get the correct media number for my current server associated with my account and have the old server media number not show anymore ?

The old server is not around anymore, that drive got used for something else.

Thanks in advance.

If you copied all the registry contents from the old to the new server, you must never switch on the old server again!
If you want to run them simultaneously, you need to decide which of them will get a “new identity”.

Edit the ‘advanced server config ’ of one of the servers
and remove the following keys:

  • AnonymousMachineIdentifier
  • MachineIdentifier
  • ProcessedMachineIdentifier
  • PlexOnlineToken

Give one of the servers also a new, non-ambiguous ‘Friendly Name’.
