For some reason, movies/TV shows have begun showing duplicate entries in the Plex dashboard (via Chrome on Windows 10 & Xbox One)
I have verified only 1 copy of each video is on my server, and I have refreshed & optimized with the same results.

If you have multiple libraries that point at the same file this will happen…

LOL, yeah, over a year ago.
In the mean time, I found out the reason. I have both a SD Movies (720 stereo) & HD Movies library (1080 5.1) so it is listing both of them … duh, I felt like a dumbass when I realized it.
what is worse is that if you play one of those files and stop… it will show the half played movies multiple times in each bitrate and you have to figure out which one was the version you were watching by guessing becuase plex doesnt give your the details untill you drill into them…
piss poor design all around and it has been brough up in multiple threads over a very long time… never corrected…
Hi have the same problem on synology PMS. The movies show twice in dashboard.
And i have checked, they are only one time in the files
