American Dad is a pain because well it just is. I think it’s a scene issue. Once you accept the episodes you get need to be correctly numbered your life will improve.

This is not going to fix anything as the file ordering is incorrect. You will need to go to either The Movie Database (TMDB) (themoviedb.org) or Welcome - TheTVDB.com and match the episode ordering to one of those databases otherwise the scanning agent will continue to make a mess of your show. Thanks for replying. I sorted the file ordering as “aired” on TVBD and now S16 hast two episodes from S18 and S18 doesn’t show at all.

If you matched it to the TVDB that’s fine as the ordering is the same on both platforms. You will likely need to do another Plex Dance for the whole series to make sure that everything is scanned and matched correctly.
