During few minutes of a movie movie stop playing, restarting takes you to beginning

A couple of family members on my Plex server have started to complain about a situation that has recently cropped up where they will be watching a movie or tv show and in the last 10 or 15 minutes of it it will suddenly stop and kick them back to the main Plex selection screen. When they go back to the movie or show they were watching, it does not give them the opportunity to start when it kicked them out but rather about 6 minutes into the show instead.

It is happening on multiple accounts. When there is a complaint, I can open the exact same movie and watch it without a problem. Rebooting the devices (Roku 3, Roku 4 and LG Smart TV) does not seem to help.

I have no idea where to even start looking for a problem like this. I am running 1.9.7.4441 and looking for some troubleshooting suggestions.

Hello,

There is a bug with 1.9.7.4441 that when the movie/show is fully transcoded and streamed to your viewing device the movie/show will end before the file content finishes playing.

If you are watching the movie/show via direct play or direct stream you will not see this problem.

There is a new version of PMS that fixes this 1.9.7.4460. From my testing it seems to have fixed this problem.
