Using DVD order with TVDB is still using airing order metadata. I’ve tried to change it back and forth many times and it doesn’t work.

Did you “refresh metadata” for the whole show, after changing the order?
Yes, lots of times. It refresh without changes.
Someone has sabotaged this show at TheTVDB. They removed the DVD ordering and created a custom ordering called ‘DVD Volumes’ instead.
But Plex cannot use these custom orderings.

You can only try and use either the Aired or the Absolute ordering (which unfortunately means you’ll have to look up the episode numbers of each episode and rename your files accordingly).
Oh… I didn’t know that DVD Volumes was not the correct one.
Is there a different metadata agent I can use to have this show sorted out with dvd order?
The only alternative is TheMovieDB. But I don’t know if Plex even can use their alternative orderings. Worth a try at least.
Use ‘Fix Match’ at the topmost level of this show, then select ‘Search Options’ and use Themoviedb as the Agent.
Still the same
