[DVR] Detect duplicate channels and ignore SD version when recording

I’m sure Comcast isn’t the only ISP to do this, but my channels are littered with SD copies of the same channels, mainly on the low channels, whereas HD copies of the channels that are playing the exact same shows in sync are located in the higher channels (like 800+)

I have just set up 2 HDHomerun Primes and started scheduling recordings, but I noticed that it is often choosing the SD channel for a lot of recordings, even though the exact same episode is playing simultaneously on the HD channel. It would be amazing if Plex could automatically notice when the same episode is playing on multiple channels and opt for the HD version automatically. I know I can restrict a show to only record HD, but that would mean that if an episode I don’t have airs on another random channel that is only available in SD, I won’t get that episode. Furthermore, this would mean having to search every show I want to record to see if there’s an HD channel that airs it, otherwise that recording will never record anything if the show only airs on SD channels.

In addition, I think an even better feature would be if Plex could detect these SD/HD channel pairs and automatically deactivate the SD version. It should be pretty easy to tell because these channel pairs are the same actual channel and should have identical schedules. I would do this manually, but that would mean having to go through 1000 channels by hand, comparing the schedules, then doing it again for my second HDHR.
