–edit: Debug log attached of discovery attempt plus manual entry of HDHR IP–
I have a HDHomerun Connect that I had connected to my Plex. It was all working absolutely fine up until today, when I noticed it had disappeared from my Plex.
I go to ‘Set up plex DVR’ and after a second or so, it says ‘There was a problem discovering devices’. I click to enter the network address manually, type the IP of the device into the field and click connect, and nothing happens.
I can confirm that the HDHR device is up and running, is pingable from the Plex host, both Plex and the HDHR are on the same subnet, both have a static IP, and the HDHR is also detectable from my.hdhomerun.com on the same machine as Plex is running. It is also running the latest firmware. I have also tested and I can receive a stream on the Plex server directly from the web interface of the HDHR.
I’ve tried rebooting the Plex server itself, the HDHomeRun device and my router, to try and iron out any problems along the way, and nothing has resolved it. I’m at a loss as to why it disappeared in the first place, let alone why it’s now unable to be re-added.
Any help would be appreciated, especially considering I can’t find anything about it with googling my problem and being unable to contact any tech help directly.
Same Issue with me. It was working fine then it just disappeared. I’ve done everything including wiping everything and reinstalling and wiping hidden files too. Exact same issue as you though.
Hi, Plex DVR/LiveTV dev here. This is something we’ve seen happen very intermittently (it happens to me too on rare occasions). Usually the device will reappear after a few minutes. I’ll keep an eye on it and see if I can reproduce it again here.

…It’s been 7 days, multiple restarts, several reinstalls and it’s still not re-appeared. I don’t think that it will ‘reappear after a few minutes’.

This is very frustrating not being able to find the answer. I have tried all of the above as well and downgraded thinking maybe that was a problem nothing works it shows up but wont let me continue after i put the zip code in
Can you restart your HDHomeRun, wait for it to be ready, then restart PMS (not the entire computer, just PMS), then try setting up the DVR and wait for the error. Get me the entire PMS log package from Settings \ Server \ Help \ Download Logs.

I’d already tried that, I’ve also installed Plex on another computer on my network and the DVR set up works correctly, so it’s clearly something wrong with the install on my current system that updates/downgrades do not resolve. I’ve attached all the logs, hopefully you can resolve it with this.
Also FYI, I’ve tried backing up the plex app directory, removing plex entirely, reinstaling and restoring the plex app directory, and the issue still persists.
I’m seeing some database corruption errors on your log. Exit PMS, then go into your database folder and delete everything except your library database, “com.plexapp.plugins.library.db”. This will reset the rest of the DVR stuff and allow you to start over. See if that fixes the problem.
I followed your suggestion, deleted all the database files, but one, - unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. Plex still can’t connect with hdhomerun to set DVR.

I’ve just tried that, then relaunched plex, and It hasn’t fixed the issue. Exactly the same error.
I’ve re-attached my logs from after deleting the files you suggested if that helps.
I still see the error about the DB being having corrupted data. However, I also see something else which maybe what is causing the bad data.
PMS needs to read the time from your server and I’m seeing errors about it not being able to get this time data. Can you double check the clocks on your server and on any NAS you may have attached. I have seen this error when one clock is quite different from the other.
