I am seeing a similar error this morning.

I am also seeing the same error as the original post with a 404. Failing after 1% update which drastically cuts down on the shows. Any assistance on this would be great.

Similar problem for just 2 days
My HDHomerun Extend was working fine. Now the guide does not show correct times for programs. I am using Plex through Roku. When I open Plex and click on enabled channels I get the following message “Unable to load channel mappings”. When I click on refresh guide it does nothing. All the connections on my HDHomerun device are good and there is a steady green light on the network connection. I am running Linux Ubuntu 18.04. Suggestions?
Thanks

Same issue here, cannot update EPG!

I have three systems with EPG problems:

Ubuntu (two systems) 18.04 LTS PMS Version 1.14.1.5488
Shield TV Pro PMS Version 1.14.1.5490 (Brand New System out of the box with OS updated).

I switched the Ubuntu system to use an XML file instead of Gracenote/native EPG, but I can’t find anyway to do that with the Shield. The EPG issues have been a problem for quite sometime and seem to have no solution in sight. Is Plex actually looking at any of this?

I’ve posted several requests for help with logs and all the data I can find that Plex wants but have received NO responses. Anyone?Plex Media Server Logs_2019-02-25_11-04-30.zip (5.7 MB)

I don’t see anyway to add tags to my response but this should be livetv-dvr, linux-server, and shield-tv-server, if anyone cares.

I was having the same issue starting a few days ago. I was finally able to get it to fully updated the guide after 10-15 tries forcing it to download. It would get a little further along each time before bombing out with 502/408 errors and failed to load EPG. After I got past ~60% on the last try it downloaded the rest super quick. All my upcoming recordings showed as expected once it finally downloaded.

I can not get the EPG to update - tried setting up everything from scratch and no matter what zip code I enter it can not fetch the guide - really frustrated - especially at the lack of response from Plex - not happy!

Just got it working by using remote access - go figure!

I am still not getting anything. could you elaborate on “Just got it working by using remote access” ?

I am running PMS on a Windows 7 machine and I was able to use another PC (Windows 10) to start Plex (www.plex.tv) in a Chrome browser and setup from that workstation. Hope that helps.

Is there support for the Plex EPG server? Can we get a refund if it fails? HDHomerun offers a similar service for $30/yr and Zap2it is free (if you can figure out how to use it), but I figured I was paying for the Plex Pass for the convenience.

So you logged in with a separate terminal system via Plex.tv web proxy to access your PMS setting in a browser and then tried the update, and this worked? (same PMS system that had the 404 error was then successful?)

I never had the 404 error - just the inability to fetch the guide.

ok, thank you. different issue then.
I am getting an EPG: received HTTP response of 404 from request to https://tmsapi.plex.tv/v1.1/lineups/USA-DISH820-DEFAULT/grid?api_key=xxx&endDateTime=2019-02-28T00%3A00Z&imageSize=Ms&imageText=false&startDateTime=2019-02-27T18%3A00Z

Can someone for PLEX please help out here! This is a huge problem for me and I can’t get Help I’m going to need to investigate other solutions

Thought I’d try removing and adding my tuner again now when I’m on the stage to select a guide it has lots of choices in the drop down but defaults to vue or sling (I’m on MIDCO) and when I try to select MIDCO i get the following error:

I’m now receiving the same error when I select Local Over the Air channels, all the premium cable lineups appear but I like my free broadcasts

Known issue with Plex.

Bad data from outside vendor (Gracenote) can completely disable core program functionality. No contingency plan developed.
