Friends was on CW and recording with DVR was great. Then Friends switched over to Fox, and now the recordings don’t include any episode information.. just “Friends” which obviously is less than ideal for sorting the episodes.. You can see where it switched in the screenshot. Anyone else seeing this?
Which country / EPG are you using?
US, Denver
All other shows appear normal - it’s specifically Friends showing up like this.
Looks like the guide data did not have Season/Episode numbers, so reverted to using the aired date for these episodes
However, as the aired date is wrong (should be date of original airing, showing under the episodes) it failed to match with tvdb so just gave you the epg info

not much you can do right now except manually work out which season.episode was aired at the time you recorded.
Going forward, fill in this form to feedback your issue to Plex.

Just discovered others experiencing this issue with other shows:
Seeing the same thing with the files on my HDD where it adds 2019 to the name and loses the episode data. Glad I’m not the only one, but looks to be a larger issue.

@sa2000 Did you mean that Plex uses Tivo and Tivo uses Freeview or that Plex uses Freeview directly?
Either way, the Freeview (website, at least) provides neither “repeat” nor “new” tags so that needs to be calculated.
I can see the lack of series/episode info now as well eg:
Today (Tur-26-Sep)
109 4+1 HD at 15:10 (I picked a “+1” on purpose)
Coundown shows as “episode 7172”
