For the past several months, all DVR functionality for repeating airings (i.e., adding an entire show to the Recordings section, rather than a specific airing from the guide) has stopped working. In the Recordings view right-hand sidebar, it says “no upcoming airings” for all of my shows. However, if I go to the Guide view and search for the same shows, I can can clearly see all of the upcoming airings. My Recordings weekly calendar view is similarly completely empty, which is incorrect.
If I go to the Guide view and select a single airing to record from the grid view, it is added to my Recordings view weekly calendar correctly – but if I add an entire show it incorrectly tells me that there are “no upcoming airings” and refused to record anything despite the fact that my guide data is clearly populating for that show.
I have tried removing and re-adding my tuner, as well as removing and re-adding my scheduled recordings. Please let me know what additional information you need from me to address this bug, and thanks in advance.
@anon18523487 – Would you be able to pass this up the chain and have the devs take a look? I’ve been experiencing this issue for months, and it’s made DVR all but useless.
Absolutely – here is a screenshot of my Recordings and Guide views from Plex web. As you can see, the Guide view shows upcoming scheduled recordings, but because they do not appear in the Recordings view they do not end up actually getting recorded.
try going into the Recording View - select a scheduled show - open advanced options and see if you are specifying the resolution to HD. I was, when i changed it to Any my shows reappeared. I the went in an had to manually go and specify the actual HD channel so i would not get a SD recording.
Thanks very much for this tip – this worked, and now I can see the Recordings view populating again.
@anon18523487 – sounds like the issue in this thread may be related related to the HD filter issue here (i.e., the fact that the HD filter in Guide view doesn’t work):
