The TV guide is empty apparently because downloading the guide is stuck “Initializing”.
None of the TV shows are being recorded apparently because the “TV Guide” is empty.

I had this before. I think deleting the DVR and readding fixed it…
Just tryed…but the system response was “unable to remove your dvr” … pheraps becouse the “Refreshing guide data” is blocking the device…
This may have something to do with HDHomeRun newer feature of providing pseudo cable channels. However HDHomeRun has had this feature for a while without causing any problems with Plex.
Restarting the PMS process(es) worked for me. But I had the same problem.
Yes you might need to reboot first…
I both rebooted the Shield and also stopped and restarted the media server and this did not help.
Same issue here too, deleted dvr, re-added. Rebooted everything. Once you add the DVR again, it gets hung trying to refresh the guide (3rd step in add dvr) and you can’t complete the setup.
I also thought it was a problem relating last PMS update. So i tried to downgrade but no way to solve the problem.
PMS starts trying to update the guide and the result is always the same: “Refreshing guide data - inizializing”..
As in the attached image I have this problem from october 12.
Any suggestion?
.I hope we get the attention from someone from Plex. I don’t remember the exact date but it also started around the same time.
How do I download a log for this?
“PLEX… we have a problem!”
I am experiencing the same issues with my program guide stuck for days at 0% - Initializing. I am running PMS 1.13.9.5456. Windows 10 x64. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PMS and experiencing the same issue. I have tried to delete my HDHomerun Connect and it get an error message stating it could not delete my DVR.
I have attached my logs for review. Thank you for your assistance.Plex Media Server Logs_2018-11-06_20-05-15.zip (3.0 MB)
Mine will refresh to 8% and then just stop with no message.
Same kind of problems for me and I’m also using an HDHomeRun connect device. I’m stuck with first discoverd channels in my current guide and I cannot get more than 24h worth or programming. I configured extra channels put there’s no way I can make appear in my guide. Plex please help! I’m paying 7$/month just for this feature so it’s very frustrating… Tx
This can be temporarily fixed by deleting some files (on Mac server) from:
~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases
The 3 files that start with tv.plex - should be deleted, but quit the Plex Server first. When you open Plex Server again, it will rebuild the databases from scratch. This makes it work, but in my experience it will be just a few days before it breaks again. I hope the team fixes this soon.
This partially worked for me. I now have 3 days of guide at least. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi, Worked for me as well. Thanks for the suggestion. Hoping Plex comes up with a permanent fix!
Deleting the db files, rebooting, and even deleting and resetting up the tuner didn’t change anything for me, it kept going to 8% and just stopping. Though for some reason late this evening it will go to 18% and die.
Yes!.. it seems working|…the guide was partially loaded but many channels were not.
The problem is there!
Hope that Plex solves it…
