Senderzuordnung

Hallo!

Danke!

Hi

Thanks for sending the feedback form

The issue was investigated and as a result, the “Kabel Deutschland Germany Digital” lineup was split into 16 regional lineups.

The new lineups are

Kabel Deutschland Baden-Württemberg Digital
Kabel Deutschland Bayern Digital
Kabel Deutschland Berlin Digital
Kabel Deutschland Brandenburg Digital
Kabel Deutschland Bremen Digital
Kabel Deutschland Hamburg Digital
Kabel Deutschland Hessen Digital
Kabel Deutschland Mecklenburg-Vorpomme Digital
Kabel Deutschland Niedersachsen Digital
Kabel Deutschland North Rhine-Westphal Digital
Kabel Deutschland Rheinland-Pfalz Digital
Kabel Deutschland Saarland Digital
Kabel Deutschland Sachsen Digital
Kabel Deutschland Sachsen-Anhalt Digital
Kabel Deutschland Schleswig-Holstein Digital
Kabel Deutschland Thüringen Digital

Please delete and re-create the DVR selecting lineup Kabel Deutschland Bayern Digital

Let us know through the forum and feedback form if there are any remaining errors / omissions

I don’t see the channels matching what you said they should be. So please confirm which of these lineups is right one for your area and let me know what the errors are

That’s great news I will test it right away!

I’m using the new Kabel Deutschland Bayern Digital guide now and there are three missing channels and two channels are wrong (different region). There are multiple lineups within certain states to this will need to be further split up to be fully accurate.
Also I noticed after entering my zip code that not the correct regional lineup was chosen by default so it appears there is no zip code range = certain regional lineup logic implemented yet.

I’ve provided additional details via the lineup inaccuracies form.

I can still see problems. It starts with the fact that I have to do a full cable scan to find all channels - it takes forever. All other „Kabel Deutschland“ settings are missing transponders so they will never find all the available channels in the first place, even before trying to sort out the mess.

I can only - once again - refer to the link Ive provided before:

https://helpdesk.kdgforum.de/sendb/belegung-16.html

It lists all available channels, their numbers and all necessary transponders. The forum lists all regions so just copy the tables and we are all good to go.

Oh, and my Region is München (Ost)
Like Wiidesire mentions, the new regions you’ve created are not nearly enough, sorry.

I’m actually wondering why this is such a big deal. Other Apps like EyeTV or MosaicTV do all this automatically and I’ve never had a single issue with it.

Ok, here’s what I can see besides the transponder and the region issue:

The scan tells me that it found ORF2 but I cannot select it from the dropdown. Channel would be 156 but it shows a radio channel ID instead.

163 is duplicate - it should be just WDR, no LIVEDIG

164 is duplicate - it should be just BR

and so on…

honestly, why am doing this when there’s an accurate list that you can just copy from:

https://helpdesk.kdgforum.de/sendb/belegung-16.html

Our EPG provider will now be looking into creating local lineups as the 16 new regional lineups do not appear to solve the problem

Thank you!

Like I said, for Munich it’s two channels that are not working - ORF2 and münchen.tv they are listed as radio stations and so it’s impossible to get the right EPG for them.

What I don’t understand is why the right names show up after the channel scan - it tells you all the right names for every channel but for some reason things get messy in the next step where the EPG is mapped. I mean, why don’t you use the channel ID’s that display after the scan to map the EPG. That’s how the other softwares like eyetv and tvmosaic seem to do it. This way, you wouldn’t need to setup all these regions.

Next question: why don’t you give us the options of using the channel’s own EPG? That way, there wouldn’t be any mapping issues whatsoever. For me, the regular channel EPG would be more than enough. I don’t need 14 days of upcoming programm.

Last question: did you solve the transponder issue for Kabel Deutschland scans?

Thank you in advance

@sa2000 any progress on the regional lineups?

Work is still in progress for the “Kabel Deutschland” lineups which are being localized further and I understand the 16 regional lineups will end up as 200 lineups.

Channels are being added but there is no data yet and it may take a week or so to get the data ingestion in place and feed through

I would suggest we wait till the end of next week and see what channels have data and which do not and then report any anomalies

I don’t understand this decision. What’s wrong with having fewer lineups? Makes it easier to maintain. They just need to have all the stations in them. If a user at one location cannot receive a few stations in a lineup – so what?

The Problem ist the if a station is identified as, let’s say ZDF or a radio station, I cannot link it to any other station manually because the EPG will be downloaded from what the system thinks this station must be. So if I linked a TV station to a radio ID, it will still give me the EPG of the radio station. What I don’t understand is the fact that it will give me all the right stations and IDs after a scan and only on the next step things get messy. Why don’t you just use the IDs from the scan?

It depends on whether channel numbers overlap but are for different stations - if this happens then the user would have to manually select each channel and map it to the tuner channel. It would be like how we have the National Lineups

channels should map automatically on entering a zip code and selecting a lineup

Info for Munich

That’s exactly the problem: the channels lineups overlap. So there’s no way for the user to manually select the right channels - the EPG stays wrong.

I don’t know what you mean with ‘overlapping’.
You have a list of channels on the left side what your tuner is able to receive.
You have a list on the right side, for which channels there is EPG data available.

As long as every “receivable” channel in your area has EPG data available, you can assign to every “tuner channel” the appropriate “EPG channel” by using the drop-down selectors.
Channel numbers don’t play a role there.

That’s not how it works on my end. The left side tells me what the available channels should be, so far so good. Even that list is not always complete. Many times, some regional channels are missing. But let’s say, channel 151 is the TV station „RTL“ but your service lists it in the dropdown as a radio station, it will always use the EPG of the radio station even though it’s actually a TV station. No way to change that behaviour on my end. And that’s the thing with the regions - 151 might be a radio station in one region but a TV station in another - they unfortunately overlap. But once again, the first scan would give the available channels with the right IDs, it’s jsut in the dropdowns that things get messy. So I’m wondering if there’s a way to just take the available channels and their IDs while giving you the option to map the right EPG to it.
