Last night while a show was recording I opened the plex app on my Apple TV to view a live TV channel separate from the show that was recording. Before selecting the channel I saw there was 1 green LED on my TV tuner for the show that was being recorded. After selecting the channel, both tuner LEDs were green, however received the “recording failed check your tuner or antenna” message, when it tried to load the TV channel. I looked back at my TV tuner and noticed both green LEDs were off, so I checked the DVR and found that it had stopped recording the show, which was Chicago PD.
I’ve seem to be having numerous issues with plex not being able to tune to a channel and getting the “recording failed check your tuner or antenna message” over the last year. Sometimes when nothing is being recorded it fails and I have to reboot the laptop the server is running on to get it to work. A lot of times I can’t tune to a live TV channel while another channel is being recorded. Last night is the first time failing to tune to a live channel killed a recording.
I’ve been looking through the logs and can find the error messages but don’t know how to determine the cause. Here’s the errors from trying to load the live TV station:

Any help in figuring out what is causing the live TV to load while shows are recording would be great. I just updated to the latest server release a couple of hours prior to the issue. I did bring up the task manager on the laptop when the live TV show first failed to load and there was ample CPU and memory. Plex Media Server Logs_2019-11-13_22-28-22.zip (4.4 MB)
