I have PMS installed on Centos8 and have TV shows to record with commercial breaks removed. The show will stop recording a couple of minutes early (not sure exactly the time). I have the end time minutes after end set to 2 but it still ends early.
You will need to post (attach) a zip file of your PMS logs, created shortly after the recording ends (or is supposed to end).
This support article explains how to do that – and be sure that in the Troubleshooting section of your Server settings that DEBUG IS ON and VERBOSE IS OFF.
I figured out what the problem was with the show ending early. I had two shows set to record back-to-back on the same channel. The first show was set to end 2 min late and the second show was set to start 1 min early. It seems that the second show took priority and ended the first show before I wanted. I have a HDHomeRun Prime which has 3 tuners. Is there a way to have the second show use a different tuner so both shows can record as desired?
If at the time the second recording starts there are one or more tuners unused, then Plex should use in off those available runners.
