Are you using MP4/M4V files?

If so:

Settings/Agents

Move Local Media Assets to the bottom of the stack of active agents under ALL tabs for TV Shows and Movies.
Red: where it was
Green: where it goes
After the LMA Hack - refresh metadata.

Reason:
When LMA is at the top Plex gives it tip-top priority. Plex can read and react badly to embedded Title Fields in MP4.M4V files when it prefers those over file names and acquired metadata from online sources.

If you’re not using MP4/M4V files - you’ll need advanced help and mostly likely some ‘Debug’ Logs - NOT ‘Verbose’.

Well it kinda worked…does the lock do anything in editing title & sort title ?

It does, once you’ve moved LMA and are getting a solid match. Before that, Lock doesn’t do much of anything other than be Orange.

Proper file names and structures - that aren’t freaked when Plex prefers a bogus embedded title in an MP4/M4V file - are your best avenues to success.

Plex can’t read or react badly to embedded Title Fields in MKV files.

Also note:
Sometimes Plex gets confused or is dealing with an ill formed bundle requiring The Plex Dance for stubborn items that won’t cooperate - after you’ve moved LMA under ALL tabs in TV Shows and Movies.

The Plex Dance is the ONLY sure way to get a complete and utter ‘Do-Over’ by wiping out the current bundle and creating a brand new one - hopefully with all the right stuff in it this time.

It’s odd, but there it is.
