Title does not stay when edited

When I edit a title in my Library and set it to lock(orange), run library scan and it reverts back to original…WHY?

Most likely:

You’re using MP4/M4V files and Local Media Assets is in the top slot of your Agent Lists. Move Local Media Assets to the bottom of your active agents by dragging and dropping it - under all Tabs of TV Shows and Movies.

Epilogue:
LMA can read and react (badly) to embedded Title Fields - only in MP4/M4V files - preferring the Title Field over The File Name… insane, right? Well, demote LMA’s priority by dragging it out of the top slot and all is well.
