I know that this has happened many times before but could not find anything that helped. My media is on a NAS (ext4) running nfs which played just fine just after loading 1 season. The NAS is the same as below with a WD Green 1TB SSD. Because of changes in labeling I reloaded all video and the error is in the topic. I mount the shared server (NAS) just fine and see all of the content on the mount point with the data sources created from them

The server is running on a RPi 4 with 4GB buster version 10.

I thought ‘Web Optimized’ was the answer but not so lucky. I am using MacX DVD Ripper Pro and I tried both mp4 and mkv with mkv I ran through HandBrake both with ‘Web Optimized’ and not. The odd thing is that some which were working before are not now.

For some reason I think that the new version of plex server is not coming through otherwise I may expect to have different scanning and a different result.

Help please, there is nothing else I think I can try. I have seen a write up on

but don’t want to go there unless I have more information because I don’t understand it.

For the ones that are working it appears to be reusing metadata, according to your logs.

Check and see if you can download the episode. navigate to the episode -> 3 dots -> download file. Does it download? is it slow?

You might need to wipe out your codecs and let plex re download them as well.

Download is fine and is not slow. note that all data is on SSD.

As far as codecs I don’t know how to do that and if I wipe out that on the working episodes that would not seem great since that may result in none of them working. The fact that I am not seeing the selection on Agent/Scanner would seem to not be fixed.

I missed that. What do you have listed under your agents for tv shows?

I dont see the settings scanner and agent like you have in the screenshot.

I honestly figure that is it. I communicated with someone else on the same type of problem and he said that the new scanner fixed it for him. For some reason the version went from 1.21.1.3850 to 1.21.1.3830 recently.

Hi ajwtech. I was glad to see someone from Plex looking at this. Could you please jump in again? I must be missing something. Just note that the shows failing have XML similar to the following

The XML is obviously very different. There must be someone there that can address this.

I see that the version here is 1.21.2.3841. Will that provide what I need? If so, how do I download and install it?

Hi ajwtech,

I have downloaded the version and now see the Plex TV Series selection for Scanner and agent. This really didn’t do me any good. Since then I got FileBot (as suggested by Trumpy) and can now see Mad About You and Seasons 4-5 of Home Improvement. Unfortunately I overlaid Seasons 1-3 and the FileBot names do not work.

For Friends and Seinfeld I can’t find any naming convention that works

Notice the .py line number in update, agent_get_version and sandbox.py also KeyError: ‘plex’. It appears that a couple of the Python routines have errors. Please let me know when these are fixed so that I can download a new release.

All of my permissions on the directories (owner root) are 777 and on the files 355 (owner root). Should I change the owner? It doesn’t seem to make sense since the permissions for user are R/W/X.
