Plex Not Downloading Metadata For TV Show

Server Version#: 1.16.0.1226
Player Version#: Web

Hey Guys,
I wanted to port over some of my blu-rays to plex and put them in a folder but when I ran the TV Shows scan, it picked up Parks and Recreation but was unable to get any information. No metadata, images, descriptions, dates, or even episode titles. I already tried “Fix Match” and clicked Parks and Recreation, as it found it. It said it was applying but then nothing happened. I tried refreshing the metadata and still nothing. I even have tried inserting only 1 Season, and still, no metadata has been downloaded to my knowledge. Images attached. Thank you in advance.

files
^^ These are the names of the files that are there.

Restarted Media Server - Images are appearing now. Checking if names are updating now.

Episode Titles not updating.

Do the descriptions for the episodes or the whole show appear?
If they do, check your files for embedded ‘Title’ meta tags and remove them, if present.

No title metatags on the files, and the metadata no longer appear. The date also appears as 1900- Parks and Rec definitely was not a tv show from the 1900s. Metadata has now disappeared.

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 2 minutes
  6. Perform the Plex Dance with this season
  7. wait 3 minutes
  8. fetch log files and attach them here

Plex Media Server Logs_2019-06-28_14-28-12.zip (1.3 MB)
Logs Attached Above. Did the plex dance, metadata partially there. I am going to check every few mins to see if it downloads any more.

^ That is the folder where media is being scanned and below is the name format I chose.

What type of drive is F:?
If it is not formatted with the NTFS file system, it will never work.

try the proper naming scheme.

/media/tv/parks and recreation (year)/season 01/parks and recreations (year) - s01e01 - episode name.mp4

It is a BUFFALO LinkStation 210 4 TB NAS. Windows shows NTFS, the web management shows XFS and has SMB enabled. I have no restrictions and it is all public share.
ntfs

Note that all other metadata works fine

Don’t. Just don’t.
Never, ever move the Plex data folder to a network share. It will either not work or you will have a damaged plex main database file.
Use a local hard drive, formatted as NTFS.

No change in that naming

Will do. I will try on a local NTFS drive.

metadata download is not instant.

you can monitor Plex > settings > alerts to see if plex is still processing the files for metadata.

OttoKerner was right. Moving my plex setting directory to a local NTFS drive fixed the issue. I am pretty oblivious and I guess I didn’t know it would process it much differently. Thanks
