No, you weren’t skipped.
Your cert was also stuck “Generating”.

You can restart and give it a bit to get the new cert generated.

Hello. Can I join the queue for whatever fix it is that you’re handing out. I’ve tried the preferences.xml fix for my QNAP and it didn’t work. Thanks.

That would mean, that your server is now unclaimed, which is good.
But to verify, browse to http://<ip_of_qnap>:32400/identity
Does it say "claimed"=0 ?

If so, make sure you’re on the same IP net as your QNAP, and both are using Private Address Space

10.0.0.0 - to - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - to - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - to - 192.168.255.255

If so, then browse to your QNAP again, but this time on http://<ip_of_qnap>:32400/web
If you are not prompted to claim it, try in an incognito browser

Thanks. It’s “0”. Sorry, I don’t understand any of the stuff you said about being on the same IP net as my QNAP and I’ve never heard of Private Address Space before either. Sorry, I’m not a complete techno-idiot but I’m also not a hardcore network configurator either. So, I’ve not done any of those recommendations 'cos I don’t understand them. I’m just using the same local IP address as I always did before the great password reset.

I tried using incognito window and it’s the same problem - no reclaim button.

I know I’m in two threads! I’m desperate and saw lots of other folk getting help from you guys so it seemed like it was the thing to do to get help!

We are sadly jumping all over the place, and on Reddit as well, so all we can do to minimize the threads/posts help everyone

And yes, we might also be seen to abandon a thread at some time, but we are not, but are spread all over the globe and in different time-zones.

And yes, we are trying to type as fast as we can :wink:
