I have a plex life pass and have 4 friends linked. today im trying to add another, Ive set up an account, well I’ve tried two, then i add them to my ADD A FRIEND link libraries ect and send. my friend gets an email and clicks on accept the invite.
she is then taken to a page which says
Hmm, an error
Sorry, we couldn’t find the server that was shared with you. It could be that the person who invited you nay have cancelled bla bla bla
any ideas, pulling my hair out, never had this problem before

She should be able to go to plex.tv and create her own account.
If she uses the e-mail address to which you sent your invite, the invite should also show up for her on the Plex account page https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing

Done this literally 20 times today, trying for the last 3 hours, i set up everything for her but the email comes back with the error, tried another new user and the same
Try using a different browser where YOU have not been logged in to Plex.
I don’t think it’s supposed to work if you handle the invite for her by dealing with both accounts at the same time.
tried, on their computer, 3 phones, another computer,
tried again and when she clicked accept invite
it said
hmm, an error
sorry, an error happened accepting the invite
Have your friend use an incognito browser window to login to plex.tv. She should be able to accept the invite within her plex.tv account, bypassing the e-mail.
I’ve had trouble with accepting invites via e-mail before. The above works for me.
And, as @tom80H mentions, using a browser where you’ve been logged in to Plex can cause problems with accepting invites for others. An incognito window helps with that as well.
