Setting up a new, Fire Stick 4K Max and no matter which video I try, I’m getting a ‘Error: Unable to Play Media’ error.
When I first tried to play a video file, I remember seeing a message pop up that asked me to enable something and it said that if you encounter problems, disable it.
For the life of me, I can’t remember what that message said exactly.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Plex on the Fire stick and no go.
Never mind, figured it out. Was combing through the player logs and found this:
Server was unhappy with client's original decision: You have too many active streams.
… unbeknownst to me, my wife was using the same account in another room and everyone is limited to 1 consecutive stream. I stopped her playback and resumed it on the Fire stick and it’s playing perfectly.
In the past, if somebody tried to stream two different movies with the same account, they would see an error on their TV about ‘too many concurrent streams’…(forget the exact error). I guess for home accounts, on FireOS, we get a generic ‘unable to to play media’ error?! A more descriptive error would be nice but no biggie.
