so after a clean install on a brand new machine
I will open Plex server by double clicking the icon in the bottom right and it will open to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html
but then it will switch quickly to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/setup/c2ee3396440c3505b365a84e1e8c4089312f3535
and then it will walk me through creating my server name and libraries. but I’ve done that already and don’t want to go through these steps every time. whats my best options.
I have a thread about this in the Shield forum and there is another in the Linux forum and so far no Plex employee has done anything except post useless stuff in the Linux forum. I think it is some kind of clear BUG because it is impacting different systems.
Plex is so closed minded and so secretive lately that mostly we will find out if they fix it after they fix it and deploy the fix if they ever do. It is just as like that Plex will say “That is the way it is supposed to work” and ignore any further reports or questions. Do NOT expect Plex to actually acknowledge a BUG ever.
HI,
I’ve got the same issue, I installed PMS on a Fresh installed of Windows 10 (15063). It’s only since the release of PMS (1.8.3.4235-2d20185b0, September 4, 2017) that i get this. Guessing it something to do with this release.
I noted that in the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server)
Both AcceptedEULA and FirstRun keys are missing.
I’ve tried creating them (Both set to 1 and 0) but that did not fix the problem. i hope this issues can be fixed as it’s becoming a real pain.
Cheers!
Same issue. mac user.
