External SRT subtitles used in TV Series library on NVIDIA Shield

==> Problem concerning external SRT subtitles used in TV Series library with PLEX (Version 1.16.6.1592) installed on NVIDIA Shield.
NVIDIA Shield version 8.0.0(32.5.205.42)

SRT subtitles used in TV Series library are not visible and not usable.
The subtitles embedded in the different movies in TV Series library are well visible and usable.

If I use same folder/subtitles in TV Series library with PLEX tool (version 1.16.5.1552 ) installed on my NAS SYNOLOGY the SRT subtitles are well visible and usable.

The strange thing, with PLEX on NVIDIA Shield the SRT subtitles used in MOVIES library and Other VIDEOS library are well visible and usable?

You have to use ISO language codes for external subtitles (.en, .fr, etc)

See Local Media Assets - TV Shows

TV Shows/ShowName/Season xx/ShowName - SxxEyy.[Language_Code].ext
Where [Language_Code] is defined by the ISO-639-1 (2-letter) or ISO-639-2/B (3-letter) standard.

Re-scan the show after correcting the subtitle file names. If they still do not appear, you may have to Plex Dance the episode, including subtitle files (or the entire season or show if that is easier).

Thanks for your recommendations but I use for MOVIES and “OTHE VIDEOS” libraries SRT subtitles named as French, Dutch and English and I get no issues with them. SRT are visible and usable in these libraries.

I have also tried syntax “en, fr…” but I get the similar problem.

Also why I get no problem using the same TV Series library (same SRT syntax) with PLEX on my NAS Synology? SRT are visible and usable.

I will try Plex Dance and see if…

Plex is very picky with TV show structure and naming. Stray from their recommendations at your own peril. You might get lucky, but at some point things will fail.

Check TV Show agent settings in your PMS and make sure you have Local Media Assets (TV) checked in all three categories.

Settings -> Agents -> Shows -> Personal Media Shows / TheTVDB / The Movie Database

Also, please provide a directory listing showing directory structure and file names for one of the problematic TV shows.

Ok Problem solved.
Local Media Assets (TV) was the source problem.
Only enable on one db.
