Failed to download subtitle

Dang, that’s bad. Having the same issue. @ChuckPa, you’ve been very helpful in other threads and I’m wondering if you happen to know anything regarding this issue?

Came here to say, “me too.” I was worried it was just me. Could we please get some sort of ETA on this? I’m partially deaf and cannot use Plex without subtitles.

Checking in on this and it looks like the opensubtitles.org API is being/has been deprecated and being “shutdown by the end of 2023”. They are pushing folks to a new API and end point. Maybe they got started a little early…

I also noticed this popping up about 2 or 3 days ago. It worked may be 1 time out of 20 or so attempts on various films. Hopefully this gets sorted out.

same here, 3 days in a roll now…Doesn’t work on the pc player and Samsung tv app.

So glad to see this has been noticed. Same thing happened to me, everything up to date and was previously working. Thanks to the Plex guys for responding, hopefully it won´t be too much work to sort out.

Same here! Been messing with this all weekend. Hope it gets fixed soon. Hate to have to switch to another platform. Frustrating.

I had this same problem for a couple of weeks. I’ve always had my subtitles.org login info in PMS, and I confirmed my login there was correct and active. I’ve previously downloaded subtitles with no problem, then suddenly I’d get the error/try again. I gave up, but then the other evening I decided to try again on a TV show, and the download worked as it should.
