Still not fixed here. Do I need to do something different

Still not working on my end either :frowning:

I confirm it’s fixed. Thank you everyone for brining attention to the issue and plex employees for resolving the issue.

Krash1220 & azph8, try restarting the server and make sure you’re running the latest version of everything.

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately I did restart the server - no luck still, even deleted the Plex app and reloaded (everything up to date). If I load a movie on my phone it works but if I try to stream to my Roku it says ā€œno direct play video profile exists for protocol http, with container avi, and video codec mpeg4.

azph8, did you try to download subtitles on the Android version of Plex? It works on my end now.

As far as the Roku box playing movies, that might be beyond the scope of this thread. However, try forcing the Roku version of Plex to change the quality of the movie or by selecting convert automatically to force the server to transcode a movie to the Roku box. Maybe the Roku box doesn’t support the original format of the movie you are streaming.

Thanks Duke - it throttles at around 33% and then comes up saying direct play is disabled. No matter the settings (I just tried adjusting the quality with no luck) but there was definitely an issue with loading subtitles.

It was weird around 3 days ago we were watching a 25 min tv show - after 17 minutes the stream crashed and then wouldn’t play anything after that - coming up with this error. And now won’t play on any device. I’m at an absolute loss now :frowning:

I restarted the server, signed out and back in, I always use the latest version. I even rechecked my opensub password, just in case. And I’m still getting Failed to download subtitle.

This is still not working for me. I did a complete clean install and started from scratch and I’m still getting Failed to download subtitle. Is there something I’m missing?

@azph8 Please create a new thread for your issue, since not related to download of subtitles

lol we pay for this let him ask a question., always moaning you are

To make the forums more easy to search, we try to limit to one issue pr. thread!

If not, it’s considered OT (Out of topic)
