Yeah this issue has started happening to me today too.
Even after adding one user via their Plex username once I try adding someone else who even comes up and then hitting send invite. It says it fails.
same issue. version 1.18.9.2578. User has a plex account, invite is not sending. is the fix still PMing someone from plex?
I’m having the same failed invite message, I’ve restarted the server, and everything but no luck. My buddy has an active account and logs in but I can’t add him.
Update: I saw on another thread a path was applied and I was able to delete the pending user invites and send again as expected.
I just updated to 1.19.1.2630, the issue seems to be resolved.

I am having this issue also.
Shared library. Removed share due to connectivity problems.
When trying to add back - Failed to Send Invitation.
I can add as a managed User (not what I want). Unfortuantely I now have a choose user screen (even after removing the managed user)
How do we fix both these issues?
I an having a problem sending an invite to DukeofDork can a ninja mod help please,i just get failed to send invite error when adding a friend.
The invitation to this user is listed as “pending”.
Which means if this user is opening the page https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing with his own web browser, he should see the invitation and be able accept or decline it.

I could not find any sign of your account trying to invite this account recently. Or was this sharing attempted already longer ago?
- use a clean web browser (i.e. without active browser add-ins) or the ‘Incognito’/‘Privacy’ mode
- use https://app.plex.tv instead of the local web app
- try again, using the email address
Done. Still same issue.
Looking at your account, it appears you have exceeded the allowed 100 sharees, which means you cannot invite more.
I’m having the same issue adding 2 friends. Tried deleting the invites and resending but the requests won’t delete. Please help.
